M'OUD · Switzerland · Est. 2022
Swiss Precision · Arabian Soul
How a honeymoon in Dubai became the foundation of a Swiss luxury oud Maison.

2014 · The Beginning
Maya and Ali travelled to Dubai for their honeymoon. The city was warm, opulent, alive with scent at every corner.
Back in Zürich, colleagues kept asking what she was wearing. The fragrances were not available in Europe. That was the first signal.

2021 · The Creation
While pregnant with their third son, Maya began formulating Oud Amal in the evenings — her first creation from raw ingredients and a decade of refined intuition.
She named it after the Arabic word for hope. The name became the fragrance. The fragrance became the foundation of everything that followed.
"She named it after the Arabic word for hope — and after the daughter she had quietly wished for."
Maya Wally · Founder & Creative Director

2022 · The Maison
M'OUD Switzerland GmbH was established in Zürich. Maya is its creative soul — trained in Cannes, Nice, and Monaco. Ali manages the architecture: operations, design, strategy.
Swiss precision. Arabian soul. Not a compromise between two cultures — a fusion of the best of both.

2024 · The Commitment
On March 29, 2024, M'OUD received official certification from One Tree Planted — with acknowledgment of 100 trees planted.
Every M'OUD bottle sold funds the planting of a tree. This commitment was built into the brand from day one.

2025 · The Next Chapter
M'OUD launches its numbered edition system — each bottle carrying a unique serial number linked to batch origin, concentration audit, and oud sourcing.
The infrastructure for digital certificates, GPS tree coordinates, and blockchain verification is being built. Not a roadmap — already in progress.
Our Name
M'OUD is pronounced like the English word "mood" — a single syllable. The apostrophe honours the Arabic etymology: "M" as the Swiss maison, "OUD" as the heart ingredient. The name bridges two worlds — Swiss precision and Middle Eastern depth.
Whether written as M'OUD, MOUD, or moud — all variants refer to the same brand: M'OUD Switzerland GmbH, registered in the Swiss commercial registry. The official spelling with apostrophe is used across all brand materials.
The flakon

Eight edges
The body is eight-sided, the shoulder faceted. The glass is heavy enough that you set the bottle down and pick it up again before you use it.

Cap with a magnet
The eight-sided cap holds an inner weight and a magnet. It pulls itself the last few millimetres and closes audibly. No screwing, no forcing.

Engraved brass tag
Brushed brass, laser-engraved — different for every fragrance. It stays on the bottle long after the packaging is gone.

Tassel in petrol
Knotted by hand, on a cord below the cap. It is the part you end up holding without noticing.
