At the centre of Oud Amal is natural oud from Thailand. It is part of the composition itself — not simply the name or impression of an oud accord.

Oud gives the fragrance its depth and movement: darker and more resinous as the brighter opening recedes.

Oud Amal is made at 35% fragrance concentration. The composition is built to develop in layers, allowing the spice, incense, woods and oud to remain connected as the fragrance evolves.

THE BEGINNING

It began in Dubai.

In 2014, Maya Wally encountered oud in Dubai as something lived with — not simply another perfume note. Oud was part of how guests were welcomed, how people prepared for an evening, how a day was marked. That experience became the starting point for a fragrance of her own.

Years of sourcing, development and refinement followed. The result became Oud Amal, the house's first fragrance.
